How the Idea of Our AI Assistant Was Born

When you're deep in the scaffolding industry, speed and clarity aren’t luxuries, they’re essential. At HRS, we’ve always believed in the power of practical innovation, and that’s exactly what sparked the creation of our AI assistant.

It started during a conversation between our founders, Ale and David. They were discussing a common issue across worksites: the amount of time workers spent trying to find the right form, procedure, or policy, often while standing on a job site, with gloves on and time ticking. The solution had to be mobile, simple, and smart.

The idea? A digital assistant. Something friendly, easy to use, and available 24/7, right on your phone.

They envisioned a tool that could support workers on site, answer key questions instantly, and remove the need to call supervisors or dig through paperwork. An assistant that doesn’t take breaks and never forgets where the latest policy is stored. The foundation of the idea wasn’t about building complex technology. It was about solving a real world issue with something intuitive and useful.

Once the concept was clear, the rest came together through a mix of creativity and teamwork. It wasn’t just the tech team involved, feedback came from yard workers, admin staff, and field supervisors. Everyone had a say in what would make this AI assistant genuinely helpful.

The final design reflects that collaboration. It’s not a generic chatbot. It has a personality. It’s respectful, straightforward, and helpful, just like a trusted team member. And it’s shaped by the actual needs of the people it was built for.

This is a project born from listening. Built by people who know the work. And it’s growing because the need for smart, accessible support in our field is more relevant than ever.
